Chapter VI
Prayers of Filipinos & Filipinas

12. “LORD God, our One and Only God, with humility in our heart, mind and speech, we pray and petition for your invisible hand in trinity of thought, mind and speech that our individual passion to better ourselves and improve our living conditions in perfect freedom and security not succumb to deception and corruption in our labor for wages, profit and rent for ‘Any man to whom God gives riches and property, and grants power to partake of them, so that he receives his lot and finds joy in the fruits of his toil, has a gift from God. (Ecclesiastes 5:18)” LORD, God of heaven, great and awesome God, as St. Paul wrote to the Philippians...

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.
